A day spent on Berrow beach and I now have a large quantity of seaweed to start working with on my next project. Washed and dried several times, some is now inside and the rest outside waiting for a hot day! Everywhere inside and out now smells decidedly fishy.
Have finally managed to finish the second ‘costume’ for Saltaire (http://www.saltaireinspired.org.uk/saltaire-arts-trail-2015-gallery/). Now all I’ve got to do is transport the work to Yorkshire and install it in someones house! I was luck enough to get selected for the Black Swan Arts Open in Frome, and the launch/prize giving was last Friday evening. Very busy, with lots of people, but the dress looks good, with the light shining through it, and casting shadows.
On my daily constitutional, the fields of maize stubble, in the winter sunshine, put me in mind of Anselm Kiefer’s work. Hoping to go next week to see his exhibition at the RA.
